Key Account Specialist

LTI Trucking Services, based in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Key Account Specialist to assist our sales team and customers. LTI Trucking Services has been growing and was listed on the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Companies in America and has received the St. Louis Business of the Year award twice. We are an asset based company and full service logistics company.

We are looking for a motivated and high energy person who has great customer service skills. The Key Account Specialist will report to our National Account Manager.

Job description and responsibilities are:

  • Support the outside sales team and our customers
  • Solve problems
  • Develop and grow account relationships by working with various contacts internally and externally
  • Oversee successful completion of day to day commitments
  • Manage customer expectations
  • Manage various day-to-day tasks including sales support, problem solving, and customer facing communication
  • Collaborate with team and manage regular service review calls with key customers which includes preparation of KPIs, understanding the overall health of accounts, opportunities for improvement and corrective action plans
  • Work with outside sales team as well as internal operations personnel to identify issues and determine best course of action and implement solutions
  • Responsible for various reporting and data entry tasks
  • Work closely with the sales and pricing teams through various points in the pricing process from formulating the opportunity for the pricing department through the completion of the onboarding and awards reporting processes
  • Lead generation and prospecting
  • Collaborate with teammates to develop and execute strategies
  • Other duties as assigned

The qualified applicant should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience in transportation preferred
  • Proficiency in excel
  • Passion for quality customer service
  • Attention to detail with strong prioritization skills
  • Enthusiastic, persistent, assertive approach
  • Flexibility – ability to succeed in a team environment and working on individual projects
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage workload to meet deadlines
  • Proven success in managing time, accomplishing goals, and relationship building
  • A competitive self-starter that will overcome obstacles and wants to grow
